  A 19-year-old student, Ian Njoroge, has been released on a bail of Ksh700,000 after allegedly been reported to have mistreated a police officer along Kamiti Road.Njoroge also to take from the police officer his mobile phone claimed to be worth Ksh50,000 and also a communication radio gadget.     The incident attracted public attention after it went viral on Social Media. On 2nd June 2024, Njoroge denied that he mistreated the police officer, citing that it was self defence.
